How we use your information

• The information provided by you is for our use only.
• We use your information to send out invoices and to keep you updated throughout the year which is done via email and letter.
• We only require information that is relevant to Sedgebrook Caravan Storage.
• The information obtained from our customers is kept in a database and the paper storage contracts will not be kept longer than necessary when the contract is terminated.
• When taking payments – none of your card details are kept.

Information we may collect or receive about you

Information you provide directly to us by filling in forms, via our website or over the telephone will not be passed to a third party.

Website analytics

This allows us to recognise and count the number of visitors who use our website. We do not hold any personally identifiable data and is for statistical purposes only.

Retention

Your data will not be retained for longer than is necessary. When your contract with us terminates your data will be erased and the storage contract will be shredded.

CCTV

Sedgebrook Caravan Storage uses closed circuit television (CCTV) images to provide a safe and secure environment for clients, customers, contractors and suppliers and to protect the company’s premises.

We record images only – there are no audio recording.

Purposes of CCTV

• To assist in the prevention or detection of crime or equivalent malpractice
• To monitor the security of our business premises.

Location of cameras

There are five cameras located at strategic points throughout the business premises, specifically at the entrance and exit, back and front paddock and are clearly visible.

An appropriate sign is prominently displayed so that employees, clients, customer and other visitors are aware they are entering an area covered by CCTV.

Recording and retention of images

Images are recorded in constant real-time (24 hours a day throughout the year). The recording system records digital images; they are held on the hard drive and are overwritten on a recycling basis and are not held for more than one month. Once a hard drive has reached the end of its use, it will be erased prior to disposal.

Access to and disclosure of images

Access to and disclosures of images recorded on CCTV are restricted. This ensures the rights of individuals are retained. Images can only be disclosed in accordance with the purposes for which are were originally collected.

Disclosure of images to other third parties will only be made in accordance with the purposes for which the system is used and will be limited to:

• The police and other law enforcement agencies, where the images recorded could assist in the prevention or detection of a crime or the identification and prosecution of an offender or the identification of a victim or witness.
• Prosecution agencies eg the Crown Prosecution Service.
• Relevant legal representatives.
